Dr. Robert J Bauder, DMD, PC

Dr. Robert J. Bauder graduated from Southern Oregon State University in 1980 double majoring with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Biology. He then attended Oregon Health and Science University in 1984 where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. He and his wife Molly moved to Alaska shortly after graduating where he worked with Public Health Services treating Alaskan Natives in Bethel, Fairbanks and surrounding rural communities. In 1990 they moved to the Kenai Peninsula where he started his family dental practice and has been practicing ever since.

With over 35 years of dental experience, Dr. Bauder is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to his patients and their families. He is committed to continuing education and furthering his knowledge in various areas of dental discipline including cosmetics, several types of sedation dentistry, implants, prosthetics and orthodontics. He is one of few dentists in Alaska to have earned one of the most rigorous continuing dental education achievements; a Fellowship Award with the Academy of General Dentistry for completing over 500+ hours of continuing education followed by a difficult comprehensive exam. He is a member of the American Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, The Alaska Dental Society, The Mid America Orthodontic Society and past President of The Kenai-Kodiak Dental Society. When he can break away from work, Dr. Bauder loves to fly his Super Cub, go fishing, hunting and spend time with his wife, children and grand-children.


Registered Dental Hygienist

Jeanie is our dental hygienist and a new member of our team! She recently moved here with her family from Gold Canyon, AZ but is originally from Condon, OR. She graduated from Carrington College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 2011. In addition to being a hygienist, Jeanie was a dental assistant for 4 years and also a regional hygiene manager for a large dental company in Arizona. She enjoys hunting on her family's ranch in Fossil, OR, fishing, cooking and spending time with her husband and two sons. She also has a 3 year old lab named Hoyt who is like her third son!


Practice Manager | Treatment Coordinator

Danika has been with our practice for almost 4 years and is in charge of managing the office and our team. She handles all of the billing and treatment planning for our patients and takes great pride in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring patient satisfaction. She graduated cum laude with a GPA of 3.62 from the University of Alaska Anchorage earning a Bachelor degree in Business Management and Marketing. Danika enjoys trapping, flying her drone, photography, videography, traveling, fishing and hunting with her significant other. She is currently pursuing her private pilot license as well!


Administrative Assistant

Bree has been apart of our team for 3 years and her smile lights up the office when you first walk in the door (ask anyone, we swear). In 2013 Bree graduated with a diploma from Soldotna High School here in her hometown and is currently attending the University of Alaska pursuing her degree in radiology. Bree enjoys interacting with our patients, cross training in the back and learning new things about dentistry in general. When Bree is not working, she loves to go fishing on the Kenai River and various lakes around the area, camping, working out and traveling.


Lead Dental Assistant

Shelby is Dr. Bauder's lead dental assistant and has been with our practice for 2 years. She has an Associate of Applied Science degree from the University of Alaska and is currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Dental Hygiene.  Shelby loves challenging procedures at work to include extractions and IV sedation. She takes pride in ensuring that our patients have a comfortable and relaxing experience whenever they are in our office. Shelby comes from a large family and is the only girl in her family out of 5 children. She is happily married and mother to a chocolate lab named Sitka. Shelby enjoys crafting, interior design, fishing, hunting and anything outdoors!


Dental Assistant

Alicia is our new dental assistant and has been with our office since last Fall. She was born in Shelton, WA but has lived in Alaska for 18 years. She graduated from Skyview High School and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Alaska. When it comes to dentistry Alicia loves constantly learning and enjoys the hands on experience while training. At home she is a dog mom of two, to a four year old pug names Gus and a 9 month old basset hound named Copper. In her free time she likes to spend time with family and friends, hiking, camping, travelling and trying new things to get out of her comfort zone!


Sterilization Technician | Dental Assistant

Andrea is our sterilization technician/dental assistant and has been with our office for almost 2 years. She earned her high school diploma from Kenai High School and is currently attending Kenai Peninsula College. Before coming to our practice Andrea was working for a professor at KPC where she got to assist in an archaeological study. Andrea enjoys soccer, eating good food, hanging out with friends, hiking, anything with bones and biology, and recently got approved to start building her first home! She has 3 sisters, 2 brothers and a new puppy named Chaos.
